ALER-GEST DESCRIPTION:
DIGESTIVE ENZYMES - ORAL

ALER-GEST SIDE EFFECTS:
ALER-GEST may cause diarrhea, constipation, stomach ache, nausea, bloating, gas, loss of appetite, headache, fatigue or dizziness the first few days as your body adjusts to it. If these effects persist or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your doctor if you develop a skin rash or severe stomach distress while taking ALER-GEST. ALER-GEST may cause dizziness or drowsiness. Use caution when driving or performing tasks requiring alertness. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
HOW TO USE ALER-GEST:
ALER-GEST: ALER-GEST works best if taken with or after meals. Antacids may hinder the effects of ALER-GEST. Do not take an antacid at the same time as ALER-GEST. Wait at least two hours between administration.
ALER-GEST USES:
ALER-GEST contains enzymes which help digest and absorb foods. It is used to treat symptoms of various digestive disorders.
ALER-GEST PRECAUTIONS:
Tell your doctor your medical history, especially of stomach/abdominal problems and of any allergies you may have (especially to pork). ALER-GEST should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. It is not known if ALER-GEST passes into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
ALER-GEST OVERDOSE:
If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include severe diarrhea, nausea, or stomach cramps.
MISSED ALER-GEST DOSE:
Take any missed dose as soon as possible but not if it is almost time for the next dose. If it is time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Do not "double-up" the dose.
ALER-GEST STORAGE:
Store at room temperature and keep away from moisture and sunlight. Do not store in the bathroom.
