AMIDRINE DESCRIPTION:
ACETAMINOPHEN/ISOMETHEPTENE/DICHLORALPHENAZONE - ORAL (uh-seet-uh-MEE-no-fen/eye-so-meth-EP-teen/dye-klor-al-FEN-uh- zone)

Amidrine, Atarin, Isocom, Midchlor, Midrin

AMIDRINE SIDE EFFECTS:
Dizziness and drowsiness may occur as your body adjusts to the medication. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your doctor if you develop: nausea, vomiting, tingling fingers or toes, a rapid pulse, an irregular heartbeat, skin rash. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

HOW TO USE AMIDRINE:
AMIDRINE: Take AMIDRINE exactly as prescribed. Do not increase your dose or take this more often than directed. For migraine headaches, take two capsules at the first sign of an attack. Then take one capsule every hour as needed until the headache is relieved. Do not take more than 5 capsules in a 12 hour period. In tension headaches, usually no more than 8 capsules a day are recommended. Do not exceed the maximum dose prescribed.

AMIDRINE USES:
AMIDRINE is used to relieve migraine and tension headaches.

AMIDRINE PRECAUTIONS:
Tell your doctor if you have: heart disease, glaucoma, kidney disease, liver disease, high blood pressure, allergies (especially drug allergies). Acetaminophen may cause liver damage. Daily use of alcohol, especially when combined with acetaminophen, may increase your risk for liver damage. Check with your doctor or pharmacist for more information. AMIDRINE should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. Since small amounts of AMIDRINE are found in breast milk, consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

AMIDRINE DRUG INTERACTIONS:
Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take or have recently taken, including: antidepressants, MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine). Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.

AMIDRINE OVERDOSE:
If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include stomach upset, headache, agitation, change in fingernail bed or skin color, low body temperature, rapid and shallow breathing, unusually rapid or slow heartbeat, and unresponsiveness.

AMIDRINE NOTES:
Use caution while driving or doing tasks requiring alertness as AMIDRINE may cause drowsiness or dizziness. Notify your doctor if AMIDRINE fails to relieve your headaches.

MISSED AMIDRINE DOSE:
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not "double-up" the dose to catch up.

AMIDRINE STORAGE:
Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. Do not store in the bathroom.
