AMMONIUM LACTATE DESCRIPTION:
AMMONIUM LACTATE 12% - TOPICAL (uh-MOH-nee-um LACK-tate)

AMMONIUM LACTATE SIDE EFFECTS:
Burning, stinging, and dryness of the skin may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor. Tell your doctor immediately if any of these serious side effects occur: darkening of skin color, skin peeling, redness, swelling, small red dots on the skin, worsening of your current skin condition. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
HOW TO USE AMMONIUM LACTATE:
AMMONIUM LACTATE: Apply a thin layer of medication to the affected area of skin usually twice daily; or as directed by your doctor. Rub the medication thoroughly into the skin. Avoid getting any of AMMONIUM LACTATE in contact with your eyes, lips, inside the nose, or on open wounds. Using AMMONIUM LACTATE on your face, recently shaved legs, or cracked skin may cause irritation. Consult your pharmacist.
AMMONIUM LACTATE USES:
AMMONIUM LACTATE is used to treat dry, itchy, or scaly skin conditions (e.g., xerosis, ichthyosis). It works by increasing the skin's natural moisture.
AMMONIUM LACTATE PRECAUTIONS:
Tell your doctor your medical history, especially of: sores or wounds on the skin, allergies you may have. AMMONIUM LACTATE may make you more sensitive to the sun. Avoid sun exposure, use a sunscreen, and wear protective clothing on the areas of skin treated with AMMONIUM LACTATE. AMMONIUM LACTATE should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. It is not known whether AMMONIUM LACTATE passes into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
AMMONIUM LACTATE DRUG INTERACTIONS:
Tell your doctor of all prescription and nonprescription medication you may use, especially of: other medicated skin products. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
AMMONIUM LACTATE OVERDOSE:
If overdose is suspected, contract your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. This medicine may be harmful if swallowed.
AMMONIUM LACTATE NOTES:
Do not share AMMONIUM LACTATE with others.
MISSED AMMONIUM LACTATE DOSE:
If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remember. If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to catch up.
AMMONIUM LACTATE STORAGE:
Store at room temperature between 36 and 86 degrees F (2 to 30 degrees C).
