PYRIDOXINE - ORAL (pirr-ih-DOX-een)

B6-500 SIDE EFFECTS:
B6-500 may cause tingling of the fingers or toes, reduced touch sensations, clumsiness or drowsiness. Consult your doctor if any of these effects persist or become severe. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
HOW TO USE B6-500:
B6-500: Take B6-500 as directed. Follow any special dietary recommendations made by your doctor or nutritionist.
B6-500 USES:
Pyridoxine is used to treat or prevent pyridoxine deficiency.
B6-500 PRECAUTIONS:
If you have any health problems, consult your doctor before using B6-500. B6-500 has been found safe during pregnancy when used at recommended doses. Pyridoxine is excreted into breast milk and may have undesirable effects on a nursing infant. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
B6-500 DRUG INTERACTIONS:
Tell your doctor of all prescription and nonprescription drugs you may use, especially: levodopa, oral contraceptives, phenobarbital, phenytoin, cycloserine, hydralazine, isoniazid, penicillamine, multivitamins. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
B6-500 OVERDOSE:
If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include tremors, sluggishness, loss of coordination, and seizures.
B6-500 NOTES:
Pyridoxine is common in foods such as beans, oats, whole wheat products, nuts, unmilled rice, eggs, chicken, liver, kidney and pork. Eat more of these foods to increase the amount of pyridoxine in your diet.
MISSED B6-500 DOSE:
Take any missed dose as soon as possible but not if it is almost time for the next dose. If it is time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Do not double the dose to catch up.
B6-500 STORAGE:
Store at room temperature and keep away from moisture and sunlight. Do not store in the bathroom.
