BAYGAM DESCRIPTION:
IMMUNE GLOBULIN - INTRAMUSCULAR (ih-MYOON GLOB-you-lin)

BAYGAM SIDE EFFECTS:
Muscle stiffness, redness, warmth, pain and tenderness may occur at the site of injection. Fever, chills, headache, weakness and nausea may also occur. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your doctor if you experience: skin rash, swelling of the hands/feet or face, breathing trouble. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
HOW TO USE BAYGAM:
BAYGAM: BAYGAM is administered by injection into a muscle by a health care professional.
BAYGAM USES:
BAYGAM is used to provide protection (immunization) against Hepatitis A, measles, varicella and rubella infections. It is also be used to boost the body's natural immune response in persons with immune system problems.
BAYGAM PRECAUTIONS:
Tell your doctor if you have any: pre-existing illnesses, blood disorders, any allergies (especially drug allergies). BAYGAM should be use only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. It is unknown if BAYGAM is excreted into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
BAYGAM DRUG INTERACTIONS:
Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take or if you have recently received any vaccines. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
BAYGAM OVERDOSE:
If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
BAYGAM NOTES:
Because BAYGAM provides protection for a limited period of time (1 to 3 months), additional doses may be necessary based on the situation. Discuss this with your doctor.
MISSED BAYGAM DOSE:
It is important that each dose be used as scheduled. If you miss a dose, contact your doctor who will help establish a new dose schedule. Do not "double-up" the dose to catch up.
BAYGAM STORAGE:
BAYGAM is stored under refrigeration as directed.
