ERYCETTE DESCRIPTION:
ERYTHROMYCIN BASE - TOPICAL PADS (eh-rith-row-MY-sin)

ERYCETTE SIDE EFFECTS:
ERYCETTE may cause redness, burning, tenderness, dry skin, itching, eye irritation and oily skin. Notify your doctor if these symptoms continue or if you develop a skin rash. In the unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to this drug, seek medical attention immediately. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
HOW TO USE ERYCETTE:
ERYCETTE: ERYCETTE is for topical use only. Clean and dry the affected area before applying this medication. Wipe the affected area gently with a medicated pad as directed. Depending on the size of the area to be treated, more than one pad may be necessary. Do not rub. Wash hands after use. Do not use this more often or for longer than directed. Your condition will not clear faster, but the chance for side effects may be increased. Avoid contact with the eyes. Do not get ERYCETTE inside the nose or mouth.
ERYCETTE USES:
Erythromycin is an antibiotic. It used topically to treat acne.
ERYCETTE PRECAUTIONS:
Tell your doctor if you have: allergies (especially to antibiotics). ERYCETTE should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. Small amounts of ERYCETTE may be found in breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
ERYCETTE DRUG INTERACTIONS:
Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may use, especially of: other skin products. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
ERYCETTE OVERDOSE:
If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. This medicine may be harmful if swallowed.
ERYCETTE NOTES:
It may take weeks or months of therapy with this medication to treat acne. Follow your doctor's instructions and keep all doctors appointments so the effectiveness of this therapy can be monitored.
MISSED ERYCETTE DOSE:
If you miss a dose, apply it as soon as remembered; do not apply it if it is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not "double-up" the dose to catch up.
ERYCETTE STORAGE:
Store this in a cool, dry area away from heat and light as directed. Check the expiration date on the bottle and discard any expired medication after that date.
