FERTINEX DESCRIPTION:
UROFOLLITROPIN - SUBCUTANEOUS INJECTION (your-oh-FOAL-ih-trow-pin)

FERTINEX SIDE EFFECTS:
Breast tenderness, mild diarrhea, nausea or vomiting might occur. If these persist or worsen, notify your doctor promptly. Report promptly: bloating, pelvic or belly pain, redness/pain/ swelling at the injection site. Unlikely but report promptly: breathing problems, leg swelling or pain, one-sided muscle weakness, vision changes. Very unlikely but report promptly: severe stomach/abdominal pain, decreased urine amount, rapid weight gain, fever, skin rash or hives. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

HOW TO USE FERTINEX:
FERTINEX: FERTINEX is injected under the skin after preparation of the solution, exactly as instructed. The dosage is adjusted to each individual's response. Usually daily intercourse is recommended, beginning on the day before the hCG hormone is given, until ovulation occurs (e.g., rise in basal body temperature). Follow MD instructions. The liquid should be visually checked before injection for particles or discoloration and discarded if contaminated. Follow instructions for proper disposal of syringes and supplies. Do not reuse needles or syringes.

FERTINEX USES:
FERTINEX is used in combination with hCG hormone to assist in ovulation and fertility if clomiphene treatment fails. The medication is also used with in-vitro fertilization methods.

FERTINEX PRECAUTIONS:
Before using FERTINEX, tell your doctor your medical history, especially of: any allergies, cancer or tumors, abnormal uterine bleeding, thyroid or adrenal gland problems, other infertility problems, ovarian cysts or enlargements. Multiple births might occur as a result of this therapy. FERTINEX should not be used during pregnancy. If you become pregnant or think you may be pregnant, inform your doctor immediately. It is not known whether FERTINEX is excreted into human milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

FERTINEX DRUG INTERACTIONS:
Tell your doctor of all nonprescription and prescription medication you use. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.

FERTINEX OVERDOSE:
If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

FERTINEX NOTES:
Do not share FERTINEX with others. Laboratory tests and ultrasound procedures will usually be necessary.

MISSED FERTINEX DOSE:
If you miss a dose of either urofollitropin or hCG hormone, consult your doctor promptly for advice.

FERTINEX STORAGE:
Store the powder refrigerated or at room temperature between 37 and 77 degrees F (3-25 degrees C) away from light and moisture. Use immediately after mixing the saline solution with the powder. Discard unused material.
