LEUKINE DESCRIPTION:
SARGRAMOSTIM - INJECTION (sarr-GRAM-oh-stim)

Leukine

LEUKINE SIDE EFFECTS:
Flushing and dizziness may occur with the first dose. Headache, diarrhea, muscle aches, stomach upset may occur. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your doctor if you experience skin rash, swelling of the hands or feet, bladder trouble or weight gain while taking LEUKINE. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

HOW TO USE LEUKINE:
LEUKINE: LEUKINE is administered by infusion into a vein by a health care professional. Blood counts will be done routinely to guide therapy.

LEUKINE USES:
LEUKINE stimulates the body to make white blood cells. It is used after bone marrow transplants. It has also been used to improve blood conditions due to certain types of anemia or drug therapy.

LEUKINE PRECAUTIONS:
Tell your doctor if you have any pre-existing heart disease, kidney disease, liver disease, lung disorders or any allergies. LEUKINE should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy or while breast-feeding. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor.

LEUKINE DRUG INTERACTIONS:
Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take especially any previous chemotherapy or radiation therapy you may have received. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.

LEUKINE OVERDOSE:
If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

LEUKINE NOTES:
Laboratory tests will be done periodically while using LEUKINE to monitor its effects and prevent side effects.

MISSED LEUKINE DOSE:
It is important that each dose be used as scheduled. If you miss a dose, use it as soon as remembered; do not use it if it is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not "double-up" the dose to catch up.

LEUKINE STORAGE:
Store LEUKINE in the refrigerator as directed. Avoid freezing or shaking. Check the expiration date on the label and properly discard of any unused medication after that time.
