MENTAX DESCRIPTION:
BUTENAFINE - TOPICAL CREAM (byou-TEN-uh-feen)

MENTAX SIDE EFFECTS:
Skin reactions such as burning, stinging, worsening of the condition, itching, rash, redness, blistering or swelling have occurred. If these persist or worsen, notify your doctor promptly. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

HOW TO USE MENTAX:
MENTAX: MENTAX is for use on the skin only and is usually applied once a day for four weeks. Clean and dry the affected area as directed, then apply a small amount of the medication on the skin to cover the area and surrounding skin. Cover with a bandage only if directed to do so by your doctor. Wash hands after applying the drug. Use MENTAX as prescribed for the full treatment time. Do not use large amounts, apply this more often or stop using without your doctor's approval. Stopping MENTAX too soon may lead to ineffective treatment and the reoccurrence of your infection. Avoid use in the mouth, eye or vaginal areas. Notify your doctor if the condition for which this was prescribed does not improve after 4 weeks or becomes worse.

MENTAX USES:
MENTAX is used to treat certain fungal infections (athlete's foot).

MENTAX PRECAUTIONS:
Before using MENTAX, tell your doctor your medical history, including: allergies (especially drug allergies). Tell your doctor if you are pregnant before using this medication. It is not known whether MENTAX is excreted into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

MENTAX DRUG INTERACTIONS:
Tell your doctor of all nonprescription and prescription medication you may use, especially of: all skin products, antibiotics. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.

MENTAX OVERDOSE:
If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

MENTAX NOTES:
Do not share MENTAX with others.

MISSED MENTAX DOSE:
If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remember. If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not "double-up" the dose to catch up.

MENTAX STORAGE:
Store at room temperature between 41 and 86 degrees F (5-30 degrees C) away from light and moisture.
