METRODIN DESCRIPTION:

METRODIN SIDE EFFECTS:
Breast tenderness, mild diarrhea, nausea or vomiting might occur. If these persist or worsen, notify your doctor promptly. Report promptly: bloating, pelvic or belly pain, redness/swell- ing/pain at the injection site. Unlikely but report promptly: breathing problems, leg swelling or pain, one-sided muscle weakness, vision changes. Very unlikely but report promptly: severe stomach/abdominal pain, decreased urine amount, rapid weight gain, fever, skin rash or hives. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

HOW TO USE METRODIN:
METRODIN: METRODIN is given by injection into a muscle by a health care professional. It is usually given once a day for 7 to 12 days. Make sure you are clear on your dosing schedule.

METRODIN USES:
METRODIN is a hormone which stimulates the ovaries. It is used in women in combination with other medication to induce ovulation.

METRODIN PRECAUTIONS:
Before using METRODIN, tell your doctor your medical history, especially of: any allergies, cancer/tumors, abnormal uterine bleeding, thyroid or adrenal gland problems, other infertility problems, ovarian cysts or enlargements. Multiple births might occur as a result of this therapy. METRODIN must not be used during pregnancy. If you become pregnant or think you may be pregnant, inform your doctor immediately. It is not known whether METRODIN is excreted into human milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

METRODIN DRUG INTERACTIONS:
Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.

METRODIN OVERDOSE:
If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

METRODIN NOTES:
It is important to understand your therapy and to follow your doctor's instructions closely. Be sure to ask your doctor any questions you may have. Keep all doctor's appointments so therapy can be monitored closely. It may be necessary to see your doctor daily.

MISSED METRODIN DOSE:
It is important to take each dose at the scheduled time. If you miss a dose, contact your doctor who will help establish a new dosing schedule. Do not "double-up" the dose to catch up.

METRODIN STORAGE:
Store METRODIN as directed. Properly discard of any unused medication.
