MILK THISTLE DESCRIPTION:
MILK THISTLE (Silybum marianum) - ORAL

MILK THISTLE SIDE EFFECTS:
Loose stools (mild laxative effect) may sometimes occur. Notify your doctor if this effect persists or worsens. If you notice other effects, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

HOW TO USE MILK THISTLE:
THIS PRODUCT: Take this product by mouth as directed. Follow all directions on the product package. If you are uncertain about any of the information, consult your doctor or pharmacist. If your condition persists or worsens, or if you think you may have a serious medical problem, seek immediate medical attention.

MILK THISTLE USES:
Milk thistle fruit has been used for the treatment of liver diseases. The FDA has not reviewed this product for safety or effectiveness. Consult your doctor or pharmacist for more details.

MILK THISTLE PRECAUTIONS:
If you have any of the following health problems, consult your doctor before using this product: liver problems (acute toxic liver disease, chronic inflammatory liver disease, cirrhosis of the liver), stomach/intestinal problems (e.g., inflammatory or irritable bowel syndrome). Liquid preparations of this product may contain sugar and/or alcohol. Caution is advised if you have diabetes, alcohol dependence or liver disease. Ask your doctor or pharmacist about the safe use of this product. This product should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

MILK THISTLE DRUG INTERACTIONS:
Before using this product, tell your doctor or pharmacist of all prescription and nonprescription medications you may use.

MILK THISTLE OVERDOSE:
If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

MILK THISTLE NOTES:
Keep all appointments for medical or laboratory tests.

MISSED MILK THISTLE DOSE:
If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remember. If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to catch up.
