PANCREATIC ENZYME SIDE EFFECTS:
Generally PANCREATIC ENZYME is very well tolerated and side effects are mild if they occur. Diarrhea, cramping or stomach upset may occur when starting treatment. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
HOW TO USE PANCREATIC ENZYME:
PANCREATIC ENZYME: PANCREATIC ENZYME works best if taken with or after meals. Swallow the capsule whole. Do not crush or chew it. The capsule may also be opened, the contents sprinkled on a small amount of soft food (e.g., gelatin, applesauce) and the food swallowed immediately without chewing. Do not mix the contents of the capsule with alkaline foods such as milk or ice cream because the protective coating may dissolve prematurely. Antacids may hinder the effects of PANCREATIC ENZYME. Do not take an antacid at the same time as PANCREATIC ENZYME. Wait at least two hours between administration.
PANCREATIC ENZYME USES:
PANCREATIC ENZYME contains digestive enzymes which help digest and absorb foods. It is used to treat symptoms of pancreatitis or other various digestive disorders.
PANCREATIC ENZYME PRECAUTIONS:
Tell your doctor if you are allergic to pork. PANCREATIC ENZYME should be used during pregnancy only if clearly needed. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. It is not known if PANCREATIC ENZYME appears in breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
