PAROMOMYCIN SULFATE DESCRIPTION:
PAROMOMYCIN-ORAL (PAIR-oh-mow-MY-sin)

PAROMOMYCIN SULFATE SIDE EFFECTS:
Nausea, diarrhea or stomach ache may occur. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your doctor if you develop a skin rash, ringing in the ears, hearing trouble or dizziness while taking this medication. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

HOW TO USE PAROMOMYCIN SULFATE:
PAROMOMYCIN SULFATE: Take PAROMOMYCIN SULFATE by mouth as directed, usually 3 times a day with meals for 5 to 10 days. This is best taken with food to prevent stomach upset. Take PAROMOMYCIN SULFATE for the full time prescribed. Do not stop taking this without your doctor's approval. Stopping therapy too soon may result in a reinfection.

PAROMOMYCIN SULFATE USES:
PAROMOMYCIN SULFATE is an antibiotic used to treat intestinal infections. It is also used in the treatment of liver disease.

PAROMOMYCIN SULFATE PRECAUTIONS:
Tell your doctor if you have any pre-existing kidney disease, intestinal disorders or any allergies. PAROMOMYCIN SULFATE should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. Since small amounts of PAROMOMYCIN SULFATE are found in breast milk, consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

PAROMOMYCIN SULFATE DRUG INTERACTIONS:
Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take especially loop diuretics (water pills), digoxin and penicillin and related antibiotics. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.

PAROMOMYCIN SULFATE OVERDOSE:
If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

PAROMOMYCIN SULFATE NOTES:
PAROMOMYCIN SULFATE has been prescribed for your current condition only. You should finish taking all of the medication prescribed. Do not save any or take this for any other condition.

MISSED PAROMOMYCIN SULFATE DOSE:
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not "double-up" the dose to catch up.

PAROMOMYCIN SULFATE STORAGE:
Store capsules at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. Do not store in the bathroom.
