PRIMACOR DESCRIPTION:
MILRINONE LACTATE - INJECTION (MILL-rih-nohn)

PRIMACOR SIDE EFFECTS:
PRIMACOR is generally well tolerated. Headache, chest pain and a slight fever have been reported as a result of PRIMACOR. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Contact your doctor immediately if you experience: irregular heartbeat. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
HOW TO USE PRIMACOR:
PRIMACOR: PRIMACOR is given by injection into a vein. You will be monitored closely by means of regular doctor visits and routine laboratory tests to ensure the effectiveness and safety of PRIMACOR.
PRIMACOR USES:
PRIMACOR is for the short-term treatment of congestive heart failure (CHF).
PRIMACOR PRECAUTIONS:
Tell your doctor of any illnesses or allergies you have. PRIMACOR should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. It is not known if PRIMACOR is found in breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
PRIMACOR DRUG INTERACTIONS:
Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
PRIMACOR OVERDOSE:
If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include severe dizziness.
PRIMACOR NOTES:
An oral form of PRIMACOR has been under study but does not show as great a benefit as does the injectable form.
MISSED PRIMACOR DOSE:
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not "double-up" the dose to catch up.
PRIMACOR STORAGE:
