Drug Name: RENAGEL

RENAGEL DESCRIPTION:
SEVELAMER - ORAL (seh-VELL-uh-mer)

RENAGEL SIDE EFFECTS:
Nausea, constipation, diarrhea, gas, or stomach upset may occur. If these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

HOW TO USE RENAGEL:
RENAGEL: Take by mouth, generally three times a day with meals, or as directed. Dosage is based on your medical condition and response to therapy. RENAGEL may interfere with the absorption of other medications you take. Take other medications one hour before or three hours after you take RENAGEL. Consult your pharmacist. Swallow capsules whole. Do not chew or take capsules apart.

RENAGEL USES:
RENAGEL is used to treat high levels of phosphorus in patients with kidney disease.

RENAGEL PRECAUTIONS:
Tell your doctor your medical history, including any allergies, low blood levels of phosphorus, stomach/intestinal problems (including previous stomach surgery) or difficulty swallowing. RENAGEL should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. It is not known whether RENAGEL is excreted into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

RENAGEL DRUG INTERACTIONS:
Tell your doctor of all nonprescription and prescription medication you may use, especially certain heart drugs (antiarrhythmics such as quinidine) or seizure drugs (e.g., phenytoin, phenobarbital, carbamazepine). Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.

RENAGEL OVERDOSE:
If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

RENAGEL NOTES:
Do not share RENAGEL with others. Laboratory and/or medical tests may be performed to monitor for side effects or response to treatment. A special diet may be necessary to help control the amount of phosphorus in your body. Consult your doctor.

MISSED RENAGEL DOSE:
If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remember. If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not "double-up" the dose to catch up.

RENAGEL STORAGE:
