SEBA-GEL DESCRIPTION:
BENZOYL PEROXIDE - TOPICAL (BEN-zoh-ill per-OX-ide)

COMMON SEBA-GEL BRAND NAME(S):
Benoxyl, Benzagel, Desquam, Fostex, Persa-Gel, Vanoxide

SEBA-GEL SIDE EFFECTS:
Slight stinging, dryness and peeling may occur initially. Expect this. However, notify your doctor if the following effects occur: redness, irritation, scaly eruptions, rash. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

HOW TO USE SEBA-GEL:
SEBA-GEL: SEBA-GEL is for topical use on the affected area only. Avoid using this in the eyes, mouth and nose, and on inflamed or damaged skin. The liquid wash or bar soap is used instead of soap once or twice a day. Wet the skin before applying this. Gently work up a lather and rinse thoroughly. Do not scrub the skin. Creams, lotions or gels are usually applied once or twice a day to the affected area. A small amount is applied to the affected area and rubbed in gently.

SEBA-GEL USES:
Benzoyl peroxide is used to treat mild to moderate acne.

SEBA-GEL PRECAUTIONS:
Tell your doctor your medical history, especially: other skin problems, any allergies. SEBA-GEL may bleach hair and colored clothing. Avoid contact. Safe use of benzoyl peroxide in children under 12 years old has not been established. Benzoyl peroxide should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. It is not known if SEBA-GEL is excreted into breast milk. Though there have no reports (to date) of harm to nursing infants, consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

SEBA-GEL DRUG INTERACTIONS:
Tell your doctor of all medicines you may use, both prescription and nonprescription, especially: other skin medicines. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.

SEBA-GEL OVERDOSE:
If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. This medicine may be harmful if swallowed.

SEBA-GEL NOTES:
SEBA-GEL is available in many forms such as lotion, cream, gel or cleanser and in various strengths (2.5% to 10%). Some can be purchased without a prescription. Discuss the various products with your doctor or pharmacist to determine the best one for you.

MISSED SEBA-GEL DOSE:
Use the missed dose as soon as you remember and resume your regular dosing schedule.

SEBA-GEL STORAGE:
Store between 59 and 76 degrees F (15 and 24.4 degrees C) away from moisture and sunlight.
