STIMATE DESCRIPTION:
DESMOPRESSIN - NASAL SPRAY 1.5MG/ML (dess-mow-PRESS-in)

STIMATE SIDE EFFECTS:
STIMATE may cause headache, runny nose, sore throat, drowsiness, dizziness, nausea, stomach ache or flushing of the face. If any of these effect persist or worsen, inform your doctor. Notify your doctor if you develop: nose bleed, stomach cramps, vomiting, irregular heartbeat. In the unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to this drug, seek immediate medical attention. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

HOW TO USE STIMATE:
STIMATE: STIMATE is administered in the nose as a nasal spray. If nasal passages are not clear another dose form of STIMATE may be required. The spray pump must be "primed" by pressing down 4 times (or until an even spray appears) before the first use. Patient instructions are provided with the product. Make sure you understand how to use the medication properly. Use STIMATE exactly as prescribed. Do not use it more frequently without your doctor's approval. If bleeding is not controlled after using the spray, contact your doctor.

STIMATE USES:
STIMATE is used to treat certain types of blood disorders (Hemophilia A and von Willebrand's disease-Type I).

STIMATE PRECAUTIONS:
Tell your doctor your medical history, especially of: high blood pressure, breathing problems, nasal congestion, heart disease, fluid or vitamin/mineral (electrolyte) imbalances, any allergies you may have. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant before using STIMATE. It is not known if STIMATE is excreted into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding

STIMATE DRUG INTERACTIONS:
Tell your doctor of all prescription and nonprescription drugs you may use, especially of: carbamazepine, chlorpropamide, demeclocycline, water pills (diuretics), drugs that increase blood pressure (e.g., dopamine, epinephrine, ephedrine, levophed). Ask your doctor how much, if any, alcohol you may drink. Alcohol interferes with the action of desmopressin by increasing urination. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.

STIMATE OVERDOSE:
If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. This medicine may be harmful if swallowed.

STIMATE NOTES:
Laboratory tests may be done to monitor your progress. In addition, the amount of fluid you drink may be monitored. Do not allow anyone else to use STIMATE.

MISSED STIMATE DOSE:
The spray is used for each bleeding episode. Use as soon as needed. STIMATE is not for routine (scheduled) use.

STIMATE STORAGE:
Store in the refrigerator. Do not freeze. If stored at room temperature, discard after 3 weeks. The container delivers 25 doses. Discard any remaining solution after 25 doses.
