TILADE DESCRIPTION:
NEDOCROMIL SODIUM - INHALATION (neh-DOCK-row-mill)

TILADE SIDE EFFECTS:
Dry or irritated throat, hoarseness, strange taste in the mouth, stomach upset or headache may occur as your body adjusts to the medication. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your doctor if you develop: rash, sore throat, trouble speaking, coughing, wheezing, breathing trouble, chest pain. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

HOW TO USE TILADE:
TILADE: TILADE is inhaled into the lungs using a special inhaler device. To use the inhaler, shake the canister for a minute. Take a drink of water to moisten the throat. Place the inhaler mouthpiece two finger widths away from the mouth and tilt your head back. Depress the inhaler while taking a slow deep breath for 5 seconds. Hold your breath for 10 seconds to enable the drug to penetrate the lungs. Slowly breathe out. If two inhalations are prescribed, wait at least one minute between inhalations. To prevent dry mouth and hoarseness, rinse your mouth after each use. An alternate method of using this device is to place the mouthpiece into your mouth, close your lips around the mouthpiece and then inhale. Ask your doctor or pharmacist to help you choose the best method for you. Consult the patient instruction leaflet that comes with each package. TILADE is best used at even intervals throughout the day and night. It is usually used two to four times a day. Do not increase your dose, use this more frequently or stop using this medication without first consulting your doctor.

TILADE USES:
TILADE reduces inflammation in the lungs. It is used in the treatment of chronic asthma.

TILADE PRECAUTIONS:
Tell your doctor of any illness, infections or allergies you may have. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant before using this medication. It is not known if TILADE is excreted into breast milk. Although there are no known problems of using TILADE while breast-feeding, consult with your doctor before doing so.

TILADE DRUG INTERACTIONS:
Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take especially other asthma medication. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.

TILADE OVERDOSE:
If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

TILADE NOTES:
TILADE is for preventative therapy only. Maximum benefit results from regular use as prescribed even during symptom-free periods. It is not effective in an acute asthma attack. If an asthma attack occurs, contact your doctor.

MISSED TILADE DOSE:
If you miss a dose, use it as soon as remembered; do not use it if it is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not "double-up" the dose to catch up.

TILADE STORAGE:
Store inhaler at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 and 30 degrees C) away from heat and open flame as it is under pressure. Each inhaler contains approximately 112 doses.
