USEPT DESCRIPTION:
METHENAMINE/METHYLENE BLUE/BENZOIC/PHENYL SAL/ATROPINE/HYOSCYAMINE (meth-EN-uh-meen/METH-ih-leen blue/ben-ZOH-ick/FEEN-ill sal-ISS- uh-late/AT-trow-peen/hi-oh-SYE-uh-meen)

COMMON USEPT BRAND NAME(S):
Dolsed, Prosed/DS, Uretron, Uridon, Urised

USEPT SIDE EFFECTS:
Nausea, vomiting, stomach cramps, diarrhea, loss of appetite, dry mouth, headache, drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision, and nervousness may occur. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. To relieve dry mouth, suck on (sugarless) hard candy or ice chips, chew (sugarless) gum, drink water or use saliva substitute. Notify your doctor if you develop chest pain, a rapid pulse, fever, eye pain, painful urination, mental confusion or skin rash while taking USEPT. Because USEPT may cause drowsiness or blurred vision, use caution driving or performing tasks requiring alertness. USEPT causes urine and, possibly, stools to turn blue-green in color. Do not be alarmed. This effect is temporary and will disappear when the medication is stopped. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

HOW TO USE USEPT:
USEPT: Take USEPT as directed at evenly spaced interval around the clock. Continue taking it for the full time prescribed even if symptoms disappear. Stopping therapy too early may result in ineffective treatment and can lead to a re-infection. Take each dose with a full glass of water and drink plenty of fluids while taking this.

USEPT WARNING:
Children and teenagers should not use aspirin, aspirin- containing or aspirin-related medications for flu symptoms or chickenpox without first consulting a doctor. A rare but serious illness known as Reye's syndrome may occur.

USEPT USES:
USEPT contains anti-infective, pain reliever, and antispasmodic ingredients. It is used to treat urinary tract infections and helps to relieve pain, burning, urinary urgency and frequency and other associated symptoms.

USEPT PRECAUTIONS:
Tell your doctor if you have any pre-existing kidney disease, liver disease, stomach or intestinal disorders, glaucoma or if you have any allergies. USEPT should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. It is not known if USEPT appears in breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

USEPT DRUG INTERACTIONS:
Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take especially any medication for blood pressure or depression or any sulfa-antibiotics. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.

USEPT OVERDOSE:
If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include fast heartbeat, dizziness, blurred vision, seizures; and slowed or shallow breathing.

USEPT NOTES:
Do not share USEPT with others.

MISSED USEPT DOSE:
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not "double-up" the dose to catch up.

USEPT STORAGE:
Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. Do not store in the bathroom.
