VAGISTAT-1 DESCRIPTION:
TIOCONAZOLE - VAGINAL (tie-oh-CON-uh-zole)

VAGISTAT-1 SIDE EFFECTS:
VAGISTAT-1 may cause vaginal itching, burning, irritation or pain or painful urination. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, contact your doctor. Notify your doctor if you develop a skin rash while using this medication. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

HOW TO USE VAGISTAT-1:
VAGISTAT-1: VAGISTAT-1 is for vaginal use only and is usually given as a single dose. Open the applicator just prior to use. Insert the applicator high into the vagina (unless you are pregnant) and press the plunger to release medication. Discard the applicator. Use a sanitary napkin/minipad to prevent staining clothing. Do not use a tampon. A detailed instruction sheet should be provided with the medication. Review the instructions and be sure to ask your doctor or pharmacist should you have any questions.

VAGISTAT-1 USES:
VAGISTAT-1 is an antifungal used to treat certain vaginal infections.

VAGISTAT-1 PRECAUTIONS:
Tell your doctor your medical history including use of latex diaphragms or condoms and of any allergies. VAGISTAT-1 should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. It is unknown if VAGISTAT-1 is excreted into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding. Avoid vaginal sexual intercourse when using VAGISTAT-1. The ointment base of VAGISTAT-1 can weaken latex. Therefore, do not use latex condoms or diaphragms for 3 days after using this medication.

VAGISTAT-1 DRUG INTERACTIONS:
Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may use. Avoid the use of vaginal douches while using VAGISTAT-1. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.

VAGISTAT-1 OVERDOSE:
If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. This medicine may be harmful if swallowed.

VAGISTAT-1 NOTES:
VAGISTAT-1 is not a contraceptive agent. Do not share VAGISTAT-1 with others.

MISSED VAGISTAT-1 DOSE:
If you miss a dose, use it as soon as remembered.

VAGISTAT-1 STORAGE:
Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light.
