VANOXIDE-HC SIDE EFFECTS:
Slight stinging or burning, drying, peeling or irritation may occur the first few days as your body adjusts to the medication. Expect this. However, if irritation or redness continue, become worse or you develop a skin rash, notify your doctor. Very unlikely to occur but report promptly the following side effects: unusual weakness, weight loss, nausea/vomiting, fainting dizziness. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
HOW TO USE VANOXIDE-HC:
VANOXIDE-HC: This is used on the skin as directed. To apply, clean and dry the affected area. Shake well. Apply a thin layer on the skin and massage in gently. Wash hands well after use. Do not use large amounts or apply this more often than directed. Your condition will not clear faster, but the chance for side effects may be increased. Avoid contact in or near the eyes or inside the nose and mouth. If redness, drying or peeling of the skin occurs, use a smaller amount or apply less often. Do not bandage, wrap or cover the area treated unless you are instructed to do so by your doctor.
VANOXIDE-HC USES:
VANOXIDE-HC is used in the treatment of acne and oily skin.
VANOXIDE-HC PRECAUTIONS:
Before using this, tell your doctor if you have any skin disorders, skin infections, are sensitive to any skin products or if you have any allergies. Though very unlikely, it is possible VANOXIDE-HC will be absorbed into your bloodstream. This may have undesirable consequences that may require additional corticosteroid treatment. This is especially true for children and for those who have used this for an extended period if they also have serious medical problems such as serious infections, injuries or surgeries. This precaution applies for up to one year after stopping use of this drug. Consult your doctor or pharmacist for more details. Use of VANOXIDE-HC in children under 12 years old has not been established. VANOXIDE-HC should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. It is not known if the topical forms of this combination product are excreted into breast milk. Consult with your doctor before breast-feeding.
VANOXIDE-HC DRUG INTERACTIONS:
Tell your doctor of any nonprescription or prescription medication you may take particularly any skin products. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
VANOXIDE-HC OVERDOSE:
If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. This medicine may be harmful if swallowed.
VANOXIDE-HC NOTES:
Apply cautiously and wash hands after use as this medication may bleach or stain hair or colored clothing. Inform all your doctors you use (or have used) VANOXIDE-HC. Do not share VANOXIDE-HC with others.
MISSED VANOXIDE-HC DOSE:
If you miss a dose, apply it as soon as remembered and resume your regular dosing schedule. Do not "double-up" the dose to catch up.
VANOXIDE-HC STORAGE:
Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C). Do not freeze. Check the expiration date on the tube and discard any expired medication.
