ZONE-A FORTE SIDE EFFECTS:
ZONE-A FORTE may cause temporary redness or minor irritation when first applied. If these symptoms continue or become worse inform your doctor. Notify your doctor if you develop swelling, itching or a rash where the medication is applied. Very unlikely to occur but report promptly the following side effects: unusual weakness, weight loss, nausea/vomiting, fainting, dizziness. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
HOW TO USE ZONE-A FORTE:
ZONE-A FORTE: ZONE-A FORTE is for use on the skin only. To apply, clean and dry the affected area as directed. Apply a small amount to the skin area and rub in gently. Cover with a bandage if told to do so. Wash hands thoroughly after use. Do not use large amounts or use this more often than prescribed since the chance for side effects may be increased. Avoid contact with the eyes. Use sparingly on children or elderly persons since they may be more sensitive to the effects of ZONE-A FORTE when used in larger amounts. Do not bandage, wrap or cover the area treated unless you are instructed to do so by your doctor.
ZONE-A FORTE USES:
Pramoxine is a topical anesthetic used on the skin to relieve minor pain, itching and discomfort. Hydrocortisone reduces inflammation and itching. This combination medication is used in the treatment of certain skin conditions such as eczema, rash, abrasions, insect bites or minor burns.
ZONE-A FORTE PRECAUTIONS:
Tell your doctor your medical history, especially of: blood disorders, infections, liver disease, allergies. Though very unlikely, it is possible ZONE-A FORTE will be absorbed into your bloodstream. This may have undesirable consequences that may require additional corticosteroid treatment. This is especially true for children and for those who have used this for an extended period if they also have serious medical problems such as serious infections, injuries or surgeries. This precaution applies for up to one year after stopping use of this drug. Consult your doctor or pharmacist for more details. ZONE-A FORTE should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. It is not known if ZONE-A FORTE is found in breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
ZONE-A FORTE DRUG INTERACTIONS:
Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take including: any skin products. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
ZONE-A FORTE OVERDOSE:
If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. This medicine may be harmful if swallowed.
ZONE-A FORTE NOTES:
If the condition for which this was prescribed does not improve or becomes worse after a few days, notify your doctor. Inform all your doctors you use (or have used) ZONE-A FORTE. Do not share ZONE-A FORTE with others.
MISSED ZONE-A FORTE DOSE:
If you miss a dose, apply it as soon as remembered; do not use it if it is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not "double-up" the dose to catch up.
ZONE-A FORTE STORAGE:
Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat. Check the expiration date on the tube and discard any expired medication.
